General Terms and Conditions

§ 1 Scope

The following General Terms and Conditions apply exclusively – even if not explicitly referred to in individual cases – to the Global Data Spaces Connect 2024, all services, and especially to future transactions of the Data Intelligence Offensive. They supplement our contracts unless otherwise agreed. Deviating agreements require our written confirmation to be effective. Even if not expressly contradicted in individual cases, the buyer’s differing terms and conditions do not apply.

§ 2 Offers and Conclusion of Contracts

Our offers are always non-binding and subject to change. A written order confirmation is decisive for the conclusion of the contract. Our order confirmation alone determines the scope of the order. Subsequent additions, amendments, or other side agreements require our written confirmation to be effective.

§ 3 Prices

The agreed prices are net prices in euros. Value-added tax at the respective statutory rate is added to the prices.

§ 4 Payment Terms

After registration, the participant receives a confirmation of registration and, for paid events, a bill no later than after the event. Please refer to the event invitation or the Global Data Spaces Connect 2024 event website for the participant fee. The invoice amount is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice. If the buyer is in default of payment, we are entitled to charge default interest at a rate of eight percentage points above the base rate without separate proof1.

§ 5 Cancellation

Cancellation of Participant Fees If you cancel your registration after the registration deadline (as indicated in the event announcement, but no later than 14 days before the event date unless otherwise specified), 50% of the applicable participant fee will be invoiced. Of course, a substitute participant may attend in your place.

Participation by Sponsors in all Data Intelligence Offensive Formats

20% cancellation fee upon withdrawal

50% cancellation fee after the first invitation mailing

100% cancellation fee if withdrawal occurs 30 days before the start of the event Cancellation notices must be submitted in writing (fax or email).

§ 6 Event Cancellation

As the organizer – specifically, the Data Intelligence Offensive – we reserve the right to cancel the Global Data Spaces Connect 2024 event due to adverse circumstances or insufficient attendance. In any case, we will make every effort to inform you promptly about cancellations or necessary program changes before the event. In such cases, you naturally have full and free withdrawal rights. Further claims are excluded.

§ 7 Organizer’s Limitation of Liability

The Data Intelligence Offensive is not liable for losses or damage to personal belongings brought to the Global Data Spaces Connect 2024 event. Similarly, liability for personal injury is excluded.

§ 8 Changes to the Conference Program

We reserve the right to make necessary changes to the conference program, event dates, speakers, and venue.

§ 9 Copyright

The materials provided during our event are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced or commercially used – even in part – without the consent of the Data Intelligence Offensive or the respective speaker.

§ 10 Data Protection

The data entrusted to us will be processed and stored by the Data Intelligence Offensive using electronic data processing in compliance with the provisions of data protection law.

§ 11 Jurisdiction

Austrian law applies to all existing legal relationships with us. The place of performance and jurisdiction for all claims and legal disputes arising from the contractual relationship is Vienna.
